#3 – When Poison Enters the World of Mental Health

Publication date: 01.07.25

At a Royal College of Psychiatrists conference in Wales, a speaker claimed that suicide bombings are a "normal response to trauma" — and that Israel exploits the Holocaust to abuse Palestinians.
We launched an email campaign to say loud and clear: this is what incitement against Israelis and Jews in the mental health field looks like.

#3 – When Poison Enters the World of Mental Health

Publication date: 01.07.25

At an official Royal College of Psychiatrists conference in Wales, a senior psychiatrist delivered a lecture on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. During the talk, she argued that suicide bombings are a “natural” or “expected” way for Palestinians to cope with the collective trauma of “occupation.” If that wasn’t enough, she also claimed that Israel "weaponizes Holocaust trauma to justify the abuse of Palestinians."

Yes — these were the messages delivered to an audience of mental health professionals. Classic victim-blaming, wrapped in clinical language, normalizing terrorism. When such framing is presented in the context of mental health, a red line is crossed: therapists are being indoctrinated to see the Jewish and Israeli community as legitimate targets. This is how academic brainwashing happens.

Of course, we didn’t stay silent. We launched an email campaign directed at the College’s leadership and the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), demanding an official review and appropriate action against the speaker.

While no official response has been received yet, campaigns like these matter deeply. Public pressure can reshape discourse. Thanks to our community, we've managed to cancel terror-supporting events and conferences, remove antisemitic professionals, spark public apologies, and create real change.

Every action contributes to a safer, saner future. So invite your friends to join our community — each one of these actions takes less than a minute a day!
